Garmin Swim Review | Swimming Watch

At first glance this just appears to look like any other digital watch. However upon closer inspection we realise that this could be the best swimming product since the invention of goggles. Garmin have designed this fabulous little swimming aid that can really help to improve your technique and assist your concentration whilst in the water. Garmin swim is a swimming tool that counts the laps you do whilst you concentrate on your strokes and speed. The little accessory has a sleek design which cuts through the water so it won’t slow you down, and you can replace the battery yourself around once a year as per the manufacturer.

Garmin Swim has an easy to use basic interface so anyone can use it. Once on your wrist you simply input the size of the swimming pool your about to use and it automatically calculates the amount of lengths you swim. Also with Garmin swim you can input swimming drills and find out how fast you pace yourself through the water. Another great feature is that Garmin Swim is also a watch and an alarm can be set, and to help you stay motivated it displays your weekly accumulated distance under time of day.

Flo Rida - Good feeling

Flo Rida - Good feeling

Flo Rida – Good feeling

This is, personally an amazing music video, probably one of my all time favourites. Not only is the song very catchy, bouncy and makes you want to move but the video is very tech heavy and we get to see what someone like Flo Rida use’s all these different bits of kit for. The video includes super cars, some very cool looking exercise equipment and some fashionable clothing.

5 baby products I couldnt live without

The top 5 baby products I couldn’t live without

I really wanted to write a quick review on the top 5 baby products that I currently own. Seeing as my son was born just over a week ago, I was hoping to provide some basic advice. Now I must say thanks to some of these products some of my greatest fears have been laid to rest. The bottle steriliser that only requires 90ml of water and 4 minutes in the microwave and the baby monitor that displays the baby’s body temperature, and heart rate. Here are just a few amazing pieces of baby kit that I think all parents should consider investing in.

Ok, so here is one of the most convenient pieces of baby kit that I own. The Tommy Tippee bottles and steriliser is ideal for those who don’t have a great deal of time on their hands. Once all the bottles are clean, you simply pour 90ml of water into the main body, place the lid back on and insert into your microwave for 4 minutes. You should allow an extra minute to allow the steam to escape from the vents which are located in the centre of the lid, before extracting one of the bottles. The inside of the steriliser includes the base and a removable tray which house's four bottle shaped grooves to place the bottles and a further four stantions with grooves for fitting either dummies or the teets. All in all this is a very good product that I rate 10/10. The bottles are durable, and it’s all very easy to clean and to use. I recommend to all.

Now this is simply an amazing piece of kit, one of my very good friends bought this as a baby present for me. This is the Angel Care Sound and movement monitor, which also tells you your baby’s heart rate and body temperature. It has the ability to monitor the sound made by your infant and will alarm if it picks up any irregularities. The pad itself should be placed underneath the Childs sheets and mattress on a hard rigid surface. The pad is attached to the nursery unit which the odd looking triangular shaped gadget pictured above. It is here you can set the sensitivity of the pad and the transmission of sound is received. Now, in my bedroom we have the pad and the nursery unit placed at the bottom of the bed and the receiver unit placed at the head. The receiver unit displays temperature, heart rate and volume; this is also where the alarm, should anything go wrong goes off.

Concept Gadgets

Concept Gadgets

So here is another look at some outlandish concept designs of some "would be" gadgets and technology. I believe it’s important for us as the consumer to discuss what we want from the big manufacturers so that we push tech to new limits and achieve greatness. I mean, I want to see a completely robust and waterproof smart phone with solar re-gen technology installed to re-charge. I want to play with a remote controlled tank that can do everything a real tank can do. I’m sure some people would want a toilet that cleans itself or parents wanting a pram or a bouncer that monitors the baby heartbeat and temperature, that alarms when any abnormalities are detected. Alas, Let me digress, I want to show you some designs that have been shown to me in the last few days that I’m just dying to speculate on.

The future of technology

The future of technology

Technology, I love technology. I phone’s, huge HD LED/Plasma televisions that are skinnier than Kate Moss.  Laptop’s with more processing power than a million hamsters on steroids and remote control tanks and helicopters. I couldn’t imagine life without the little and large life improving gizmos and gadgets. It doesn’t just stop at Playstation and the Xbox though, think of the machines in hospitals that scan your wife’s or girlfriends belly for live baby video feeds or x-ray machines that uses radio waves to show what your insides look like. We humans have created some amazing devices in our time, even though Hollywood and general techno phobic individuals would have you believe that technology may one day destroy or even rule the human race. Now this sounds like sci-fi mumbo jumbo, but let’s just clarify two things before we sceptically move on. The first thing is, is there is a machine in Geneva capable of creating black holes, and second, there is a software program called Sky Net. I just wanted to point that out before I started rambling on about the future of gizmos was going.

Now the future of technology doesn’t lie with flying cars and laser assault rifles, the future is the digital age. Mobile phones and tablet devices touch screen and interactive systems integrated into everyday life. I have seen touch screen coffee tables and interactive beds. I just love how newspapers and magazines are now completely digital, saving the environment on paper, and making articles nicer to look at and read, whilst adding a new feature to the touch screen device that you are using. The mobile phone and tablet device has revolutionised gaming, with new models being fitted retrofitted with bigger and more powerful processors. Although a downside to this, is the fact with better technology, apps will become more advanced, the more up to date they are, the more expensive apps and tech will become.

The Definition of a Stylish Car

The Definition of a Stylish Car

Stylish Cars

Ok so I wanted to do a blog about stylish/Super car’s and what the definition might actually be. I would imagine the majority of people think of Zonda, or Bugatti and Ferrari when you mention the term Stylish/Super cars. They wouldn’t be wrong as most of these vehicles would be described as “Sexy”, and faster than a thousand Gazelles. However I disagree with the stereotype, I want to talk about the possibility of a Transit van being “Sexy”, and I want to discuss my Fiat Punto being classed as a “super car”.

Most car enthusiasts will define super car as a very powerful, fast and sleek vehicle that’s price should be out of this world. The automobile should be of a rare variety and should only be in the possession of the elite classes of society. Lamborghini, Zonda, Ferrari, Bugatti, and McLaren are amongst the biggest manufacturers of high end sports vehicles. Most makes and models under these brands tend to have over 500BHP, and are fitted with American or Japanese racing parts.

I would probably say that my personal favourite of all high end models would be Pagani Zonda. A stunning piece of Italian craftsmanship. Sporting a V12 engine, a 6 speed gearbox with over 400BHP. I remember first seeing this model when first playing one of the Gran Turismo games on the Playstation. I was very young at the time, but thinking how beautiful the body was, and wondering whether the high pitch growl it made in the game was the same as real life. I loved how low to the ground Zonda was, and thinking you could probably flip another car if you drove into it at speed.
