David Miller Strikes The Fastest Third Century At The IPL

David Miller Strikes The Fastest Third Century At The IPL

David Miller’s hard work has paid off during this IPL. He left Bangalore stunned by slamming 101 off 38 balls, the fastest third century at the IPL games this season. He has remembered to always follow his father’s advise, ‘If it is in the arch, it is out of the park. If it is in the V, it is in the tree’. On Monday, Miller was able to ravage the bowlers of Royal Challenger’s Bangalore, almost single handedly to take on the Kings XI Punjab and end in a resounding and unexpected six wicket win. In the line-up, he came in to bat as the fourth batsman and chased a nice 190 runs. At 51 for 3 in 7.4 over’s, his side was in quite an uncomfortable spot. David Hussey was the partner he lost during the 10th over, but despite this he decided to unleash a real carnage and sent the ball flying out of the cricket field, thereafter. He struck seven sixes and eight boundaries just leaving the local fans screaming with joy while the visitors remained stunned in silence.

When David spoke after the match, he said that since a year and a half, he has been working extremely hard to get himself to this level and explode this manner. He is extremely thankful to Lord Jesus Christ and is very happy with the result that came off. In the 14th over, the Bangalore captain had dropped him, but this twenty three year old gave a flawless knock and looked towards just going straight. David says that’s when ViratKohli dropped him, he felt a bit lucky. The total was a big one to achieve and at the same time even Sathish put in a very good effort. David’s aggression rubbed off on very well on Sathish and he too hit some very big shots towards the end. The win was finally brought in by the South African with a straight six and in the process the century also was completed.

Akshay Kumar Fails To Get Footage At A Publicity Stunt At The IPL 2013

Akshay Kumar Fails To Get Footage At A Publicity Stunt At The IPL 2013

Akshay Kumar Fails To Get Footage At A Publicity Stunt At The IPL 2013

Something went horribly wrong with Akshay Kumar’s publicity stunt at the IPL 6. ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Again’ was the forthcoming release this macho actor wanted to promote at the Eden Gardens. Sonakshi Sinha, Imran Khan and Akshay Kumar wore specially designed shirts to promote the movie when they entered the Eden Gardens. The trio had thought that with their starry presence and the print on their T Shirts – ‘Once Upon A Time In IPL’ they would be able to woo the cameras.

The tag line on the shirts was very similar to the upcoming film release, ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai Again’. The three actors had turned up for the game between Delhi Daredevils and Kolkata Knight Riders at the IPL 6, a high octane game, for promoting their film. However the cameras did not focus on the three actors which was not anticipated by Akki. The camera lenses had snubbed the three stars quite royally. It was discovered later on that, it was the behest of the administration officials that the cameras at the IPL were being operated due to which Akki and the two actors were not able to get even a second of the air time.

It must be noted that an official agreement is required for any campaign for promoting films by stars. According to the rules at the IPL games there is a code of conduct that needs to be stringently adhered to. Films stars are not allowed to indulge in any kind of cheeky campaign to promote their films. Celebrities of Bollywood town have always considered the IPL games as a massive tool for public relations, project promotion, etc. Whenever there is such a promotional drive to be undertaken, it becomes mandatory for the Bollywood town celebrities to seek permission before hand. It is heard that Akshay Kumar was not kicked about the idea of wearing the T Shirt for promoting the film, but it was the promotional team of his film who had convinced him that this gimmick would turn out to be a favorable one for him. However the gimmick only backfired. While Akshay Kumar was not successful in getting just 15 seconds of fame at the IPL 6, Shahrukh Khan, Akshay’s rival was seen clapping, cheering and waving for his team at the IPL this season.

Crowds Boo At ViratKohliAt The Wankhede Stadium

Crowds Boo At Virat Kohli At The Wankhede Stadium

One can reflect upon the times people live in, with the encounter Virat Kohli had with crowds at the Wankhede Stadium. This happened during a run out incident which turned into a controversy during the match on Saturday night against the Mumbai Indians. Virat Kohli, captain of the Bangalore Royal Challengers team was targeted by the supporters of the Mumbai Indians team packed into the Wankhede Stadium. He was attacked with unfair jibes by the supporters.

Virat Kohli became very emotional and reminded the supporters that he also plays for India to. The crowd booed him and termed him a cheater when he later appealed bizarrely to dismiss Ambati Rayadu, batsman of the Mumbai Indians team. Virat is known to be a person who always wears his heart on his sleeve. He tried reminding the crowds that he did not come to play to be hated, but to play for his country. Questions are being raised on whether the standard of people watching the cricket matches is deteriorating within the country or not. Questions are also being raised on whether there should be any reaction from cricket players.

As far as team sport is concerned, the crowd is considered to be the ‘extra man’. The chants in the crowds are deafening and roars vociferous which could either give inspiration to the home team or lead to demoralization of visitors. The crowds also cheer passionately when they resemble a mob that is of the unforgiving kind and bays for the blood of a gladiator. Cricket has always been considered as a gentleman’s game but at times, it is the emotions that could sway people, making their behavior towards the opponents very ruthless.

In the past it has been seen that the crowds at the Wankhede Stadium can be very hostile at times. In a game between Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab, Yuvraj Singh was targeted in 2008. The game was an affair that could thrill anyone in which King XI Punjab had clinched a run out dramatically off the last ball. Yuvraj became very animated and started running around the park in the midst of stunning silence.

Options for buying running clothing increase in the UK

In the past, dedicated shops selling clothing to runners were few and far between. Recent years have seen a dramatic increase in the number of outlets catering specifically for running and triathlons. Many stores pride themselves on employing staff, who are runners themselves.

Running in the UK

One would think the UK with its perpetual rain is far from the ideal place to go jogging. In fact the all year round mild temperatures are ideal for running as it is rarely too hot or too cold. Since the credit crunch running has gained new popularity, as it is a cheap and effective way of staying fit.
