The film Aashiqui 2 has already hit the screens. This new film has already achieved roaring success. However, Anu Agarwal is yet to watch her film which had become a huge hit and had also achieved roaring business in the 1990s. Music of the film, Aashiqui released in the 1990s has remained one of the most popular and best produced in the Bollywood industry. Anu Agarwal and the music are the two things people remember most about this film. It has been found out that this film which vaulted Anu Agarwal to the stardom world in the 1990s, almost overnight was never watched by her. The songs of this film are still popularly heard by people even today and everyone who has seen the film can never forget the beautiful story of this film in which Anu Agarwal and Rahul Roy had acted. Anu debuted in Aashiqui directed by Mahesh Bhatt and everyone remembers this film for her flair and her soulful eyes.

Anu’s friend once told her that in the Bollywood industry, she was the only one who was so blatantly honest, wore short skirts, was highly intellectual and had everyone’s backing. She was the only one to smoke Malboro lights in public. She never wanted to pursue a career in Bollywood nor any notoriety. Anu did the role since Mahesh Bhatt had pressurized her to do it. After the film Aashiqui became a big hit, she got some more roles after which she was able to establish her career in Bollywood. The films she acted in did not bring her so much name and fame as compared to her debut film, Ashiqui directed by Mahesh Bhatt. Anu had never strived to be in the number one position, anytime, nor did she think of taking up too many films.

Presently Anu Agarwal is busy writing her biography in which she describes her rise to popularity and her life ever since. She describes how she bagged the role, and how Mahesh Bhatt had said that she was a star. When she asked him where she was a star, he said that she was a star in the galaxy and must act in films. At that time she said that she never even watched Hindi movies, leave alone acting in Hindi films. Mahesh Bhatt wrote a script and then called her up seven months later. Anu Agarwal was surprised that he didn’t even know her and yet wrote a script for her to act. Mahesh told her that if she wouldn’t act in that film Aashiqui, he would never make that film.

Anu attained a lot of name and fame after the release of Aashiqi. However she was a reluctant actress and found that fame proved too much for her and she couldn’t handle this fame. She also couldn’t take too much of the negative press and fans. In 1995 she disappeared from the Bollywood industry after all the projects she had taken up were completed. She was paralyzed for 26 months and went into coma for 29 days when she met with an accident in the year 1999. Recently she has returned and has begun writing her biography. She has not even seen the film Aashiqui in which she had acted but reveals that she should see it now, now that the new one is also released. Even if she does watch her film, she may not be able to relate to Aashiqui anymore probably.

Let's face it Kim Kardashian's maternity style has been more hit than miss this last few months.  But yesterday she took the prize for wearing THE most uncomfortable shoes ever!  The plastic/perspex creation don't look as though they would be comfortable for a non- pregnant woman let alone one in their third trimester.

Even Kim herself went on to instagram a picture of her swollen looking feet with the caption, "Swollen feet or a new Givenchy tattoo?"

In terms of the rest of her outfit, she actually looked quite lovely.  It's a shame she didn't top the look off in some nice flat sandals or ballet pumps!

All stars attending the Cannes International Film Festival are busy putting their wardrobes in order. Indian cinema celebrates 100 years at the festival this year.

For this red carpet event, special care is being taken by Indian stars. And special preparations are being made by Ameesha Patel for the event as this is going to be her maiden event. This 37 year old actress has made a decision to sport an entirely desi look during her visit to the Cannes festival, as per reports. Ameesha Patel has acted in Shortcut Romeo a film directed by Sushi Ganesh in which Puja Gupta and Neil Nitin Mukesh have also featured. The film will be premieredon the 22nd May, and will be attended by Ameesha Patel.

Ameesha consulted Manish Malhotra, designer and good friend, who also feels that the decision to dress in 'desi style' is the perfect way to represent India on a global platform. She says that the big deal is that she is going there especially for the movie she has worked in and not as a brand ambassador. To represent Indian cinema at the Cannes festival is a huge honor for her, she states. There will be two outfits for Ameesha, one in the morning for the red carpet and one at night for the premier. She feels there couldn’t be anything better than the lehenga or the sari on an Indian woman. She has acted in hit films like Gadar – ek prem katha and Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai.

One of the best known designers is Manish Malhotra who designs some of the best possible ensembles to compliment the look of any person. Ameesha Patel has been given a red carpetish yet Indian outfit keeping in mind her personality and complexion, he says. Classic colors, white and black have been incorporated in the outfits she is going to wear. Chikankari and Kashmiri work feature high on her outfits. International summer trends have also been kept in mind while designing her outfits for the Cannes festival.

Dada sahib Phalke Awards Rejected By Angry Mala Sinha

Mala Sinha the veteran actress has refused to accept the prestigious Dada sahib Phalke Awards. She is upset with the committee that is responsible for giving these awards. The invitation card sent to her did not even carry her name which has made her very angry. Announcements of her name were made earlier along with other names like, Yash Chopra, Rajesh Khanna and Asha Bhosle. She has worked in a number of hit movies in the past in Bollywood and she felt insulted at the committee’s carelessness and hence she expressed her refusal to accept the Dada saheb Phalke Award. She has had a long career in many successful films, and she strongly felt that her name should have featured on the invitation card. However her name was missing on the invitation card and expresses that grave injustice has been done to her.

Vivek Oberoi Reveals His Childhood Crush On Bollywood Actress, Juhi Chawla

At many of the events and shows, many of the actors reveal their childhood crushes and so has Bollywod actor, Vivek Oberoi. He has declared who his childhood crush was. In ‘India’s Best Dramebaaz’, talent hunt show he divulged the name of his crush during childhood. Vivek reveals that after watching the film, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, he had a big crush on Bollywood actress Juhi Chawla. Vivek expressed his admiration for Juhi when she came for promoting her upcoming movie at a show. Vivek was not able to hold on to his emotions and right before her, he opened out his heart. He told her that after watching Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, and watching her shake a leg to the famous song – Gazab Kah Hai Din from the film he had started having a crush on her. The film has now completed 25 years.

On hearing about the crush Juhi Chawla laughed aloud and said that, it meant that Vivek had a crush on her when he was just about ten years old. Vivek recollects that having watched the film as a kid Juhi became the ultimate woman for him. He says that most boys of his childhood fell in love with her enduing cute smile and vivacious ways. He said this at a reality show where he has become a judge. Juhi was also at the show for the ‘Hum Hai Rahi Car Ke’ upcoming film promotion.

Imran Khan Gets Pricey For His Next Film Ouatima

Imran Khan, the chocolate boy is the latest Khan who is signing films for crores. He too has joined the bandwagon like the rest of the Khans who also sign films for crores. For just one single film Quatima, he has demanded a whopping 11 crores. So far many of the Khans and Kumars, like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Shahrukh Khan and Amir Khan have demanded crores for their films, but the latest grapevine is that even Imran Khan has demanded 11 crores for ‘Once Upon A Time In Mumbai 2’.

Strife Between Anurag Kashyap And Mega Star Amitabh Bachchan Ends!

Anurag Kashyap, Bollywood director and megastar Amitabh Bachchan had a strife between them around two years ago which came out in the open. Now both of them have buried the hatchet. In his Facebook page, Anurag had hurled many accusations against the Bachchans. It seems the film release of ‘Chittagung’ a film made by Bedabrata Pain, Anurag’s friend was sabotaged deliberately by the Bachchans. It was during that same time that Abhishek Bachchan’s ‘Kheley Hum JiJaan Se’ in which was scheduled for release and to promote this film, the Bachchans had sabotaged, the film made by Kashyap’s friend. There was an obvious rift between the Bachchans and Kashyap since then.

As of now there is good news that the differences have been buried by them and they are expected to again work together. In a film collection called ‘Bombay Talkies’ directed by Kashyap, Amitabh Bachchan is expected to appear in a short film. The four short films are directed in a collection by AnuragKashya, Dibakar Bannerjee, Zoya Akhtar and Karan Johar. In fact the impact Amitabh Bachchan has had on his fans has been dealt with in Anurag’s film. It seems that Amitabh Bachchan has taken the first step to mend the rift between both of them when on twitter, he praised Anurag’s film, the ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ openly.

When Kashyap was asked what had happened he said that there was certainly something that caused the rift between them both, though he has forgotten what it exactly was. He says that a smaller man does have a big ego, but it was Amitabh Bachchan’s personality that went out to praise the ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ film. Anurag says that though everyone had told him to reply Amitabh then, he hadn’t done so and didn’t feel any reason to do this as well.

Then one day he felt that it was high time that the issues got resolved and Amitabh himself had given him the chance. So, Anurag took two pegs and replied the megastar asking if they could meet. Amitabh said that he could come whenever he pleased and this time the Amitabh Bachchan fan came out from within him. Anurag has admitted that he is a big fan of Amitabh Bachchan and both are going to make a film together, the coming year.
