Murali Vijay and Michael Hussey put up a very good start for the Chennai team with an opening stand of fifty two runs. At first Vijay went on to be offensive, however he was caught up well by Hussey who left his partner behind eventually. From 58 balls, he scored 86 with Suresh Raina scoring 82 runs from 42 balls. In the first qualifying cricket match of the IPL 2013, Chennai Super Kings were powered to 192 for 1 against the Mumbai Indians. In the powerplay, 47 runs were scored by the openers and it seemed as if the good work would continue.
However, Mumbai Indians got the breakthrough due to Kieron Pollard when he took Vijay for 23 when he tried to clear the playing arena. Vijay was replaced by Suresh Raina who took time first but then launched on the Mumbai Indian bowlers very ferociously. The pair kept rotating strikes very frequently and pierced gaps wherever possible. During the death overs, they went big with the ideal platform available.
Chennai had got a good base required at 125 for 1 required to go for bigger runs. Raina and Hussey are amongst the other top cricket players who love to flaunt some of the best cricket sunglasses from the world. Some of their most favored brands include Arnette, Bolle, Adidas, Oakley, Prada, Serengeti, Adidas, Ray Ban and many others. These batsmen who ensure highest batting levels at all times, love wearing the best of sunglasses brands during the IPL cricket matches. After plans were put into action and during the last 5 overs, 67 runs came in. The Raina-Hussey 140 partnership helped them reach their fifties off 76 balls for the second wicket.
