One of our favourite celebrations has finally made its way back around again – St Patricks Day. The special day sees the commemoration of the arrival of Christianity in Ireland, Saint Patrick and Irish culture in general. The Irish holiday has now become a celebration across most places in the UK, bringing together a variety of people for events revolving around Irish traditions.

Irish traditions include Irish folk music, the drinking of green beer and Guinness and spending the day attending parades and festivals. St Paddy’s Day lands on a Sunday this year which makes it the perfect time for a get together with your friends to celebrate the exciting event. Whether you decide to go on a pub crawl to your favourite pubs and bars throughout the day or fancy attending a local parade, you will need to make sure you are dressed appropriately and looking right on trend. Take inspiration from the men’s outfit ideas below featuring products from the Irish fashion store, Galvin for Men.

Get ready for summer!!!

If you’re anywhere as excited as we are about leaving the cold and damp weather of winter behind and embracing the spring and summer, you’ll be starting to think about re-vamping your wardrobe too. There are so many exciting styles to choose from its hard to pick out our favourite trend. So we have put together a range of styles for different occasions throughout summer. Which one is your favourite?

This is the perfect outfit for a hot summer BBQ. It is practical and cute. A simple straw hat will keep you protected from the sun if you’re in it for a long time throughout the day. I love the colour of this Topshop top and these Levi’s jeans are an absolute summer must have. The shoes are Vans California available from iConsume. I love the unique summer pattern on them, it gives the whole outfit an added California look.

I love the easiness of this outfit. The dress is from Topshop and is perfect for really hot days in the sun. This is the perfect beach outfit. The sandals and bag are from Zara, I love the reflective panel at the front of the sandals and it looks fantastic accessorised with a colourful bag like this. The splash of colour adds a fun feel to the whole outfit.

For a more sophisticated city day out we recommend this outfit. The strapless floral dress is from French Connection as gives a feminine and stylish look. Matched with these cream French connection heeled sandals and River Island bag you are ready to hit the shops!

Cold Spring? How To Stay Stylish Through This Long Winter

It seems the weather isn’t going in our favour these days, with all the snow and wintery weather still looming. It’s meant to be spring with sun and blue skies! Instead we are waking up to a fresh blanket of snow every morning. This just isn’t on. What about all those spring pieces we have all gone out and bought in preparation for the nicer weather? How are we meant to wear them when it’s minus temperatures outside? A spring dress does not match well with three inches of snow, I think we all agree on that.

So how do you save those spring pieces from being forgotten about? Well its time to dig out a few of those winter woollies you thought you had put away for another year. Take a look at some of our ideas for cold spring style.

Bags for the spring season

Now that the fashion weeks are over we can finally reflect on what we have seen from the New York, London, Milan and Paris catwalks and marvel in the beauty of the clothing and accessories from the worlds top fashion designers. You can find a host of designer bags as well as stunning designer fashion at Cavells. The catwalks showed us a varied mix of structured bags and while we did see some fantastic oversized styles, the focus was on clutches and small day bags.

This Diana Von Furstenberg bag has everything you may want from a small spring bag. It’s subtle pop of yellow shows a fresh and feminine side to a simple white bag, and the embellishments give the bag plenty of visual interest. The bag is only small, but big enough for anything you might need on a spring day out. DVF has once again hit the bullseye.

Personally I love Marc Jacobs. He always manages to create a unique designer style which can be incorporated into your exciting wardrobe. His accessories are guaranteed to be the things which will stand out and be remembered on an outfit. This Marc by Mac Jacobs shoulder bag is exactly that accessory. Its vibrant colour is guaranteed to jazz up even the most boring of work outfits.

Denim is back!

Denim has been a huge character in the recent spring summer 2013 fashion weeks. Denim might not have ever actually been away, but now it has become a staple material in designer fashion.

We all have a pair of jeans in our wardrobes which we absolutely love and could not live without, but they have always been for casual days or for everyday work wear. In the past we wouldn’t dream of going on a posh date wearing a pair of jeans. Well, now all that is changing. Denim is being reformed and becoming a fashion staple. Its not just the high street which have given their denim ranges a make over, it has been the luxury fashion world which has brought back this craze and fashion houses such as Chanel are creating stunning denim outfits.

Statement and bold jeans such as the Religion Jeans available on Serene Order are becoming more and more popular. Denim shirts, dungarees and pinafores are all coming back with a vengeance too. The catwalk is full of top fashion designers giving denim a new identity with their own interpretation of denim-wear offering new shapes, shades and cuts.

Jeans have become more than just casual wear, and they can be found in many colours and designs which were not seen in the past. They are smart, distressed, baggy, tight, flared, skinny, high waist and low cut, everything you could ever want in a pair of jeans is available on the high street now. The denim jean infinite longevity is in their ability to be transformed, their comfort and the fact they can be effortlessly paired with almost anything. New and improved, flattering cuts mean that jeans just get better and better, whether dressed up or dressed down. Jeans are a universal language.

But as denim makes a huge splash back into the fashion world, it’s not just the jeans we have to look out for. Its everything! Dresses, coats, skirts, shirts, boob tubes, shorts, everything. Designer’s
have given denim coats and dresses a classic, structured cut, same colour seams are used as opposed to the traditional contrast stitching offering ‘brand new’ look denim instead of a worn look. Denim shirts and loose fitting tunics are paired with denim A-line skirts and bra tops.
