Denim is back!

Denim has been a huge character in the recent spring summer 2013 fashion weeks. Denim might not have ever actually been away, but now it has become a staple material in designer fashion.

We all have a pair of jeans in our wardrobes which we absolutely love and could not live without, but they have always been for casual days or for everyday work wear. In the past we wouldn’t dream of going on a posh date wearing a pair of jeans. Well, now all that is changing. Denim is being reformed and becoming a fashion staple. Its not just the high street which have given their denim ranges a make over, it has been the luxury fashion world which has brought back this craze and fashion houses such as Chanel are creating stunning denim outfits.

Statement and bold jeans such as the Religion Jeans available on Serene Order are becoming more and more popular. Denim shirts, dungarees and pinafores are all coming back with a vengeance too. The catwalk is full of top fashion designers giving denim a new identity with their own interpretation of denim-wear offering new shapes, shades and cuts.

Jeans have become more than just casual wear, and they can be found in many colours and designs which were not seen in the past. They are smart, distressed, baggy, tight, flared, skinny, high waist and low cut, everything you could ever want in a pair of jeans is available on the high street now. The denim jean infinite longevity is in their ability to be transformed, their comfort and the fact they can be effortlessly paired with almost anything. New and improved, flattering cuts mean that jeans just get better and better, whether dressed up or dressed down. Jeans are a universal language.

But as denim makes a huge splash back into the fashion world, it’s not just the jeans we have to look out for. Its everything! Dresses, coats, skirts, shirts, boob tubes, shorts, everything. Designer’s
have given denim coats and dresses a classic, structured cut, same colour seams are used as opposed to the traditional contrast stitching offering ‘brand new’ look denim instead of a worn look. Denim shirts and loose fitting tunics are paired with denim A-line skirts and bra tops.
