Editor's Take
Reviews for the Soundcore Liberty 5 are generally positive, with many testers praising the comfort, feature set, strong battery life, and overall value. SoundGuys says the earbuds are affordable and comfortable, while Tom’s Guide and TechRadar note that the sound is good and the Dolby Audio tuning can be engaging, though both mention some flaws in controls and ANC performance.
Across review sites, the most common praise is for the balanced feature set at the price: reviewers highlight LDAC support, the Soundcore app, customizable EQ, and good call quality. Digital Trends and PC Gamer both describe the Liberty 5 as strong daily-driver earbuds, and Cult of Mac says they deliver much of a premium-earbud experience for less money.
The main criticisms are consistent too. Reviewers repeatedly mention that the squeeze/touch controls can feel fiddly or sluggish, and several sources say noise cancellation is good but not class-leading. Some reviews also point out that bass is emphasized and treble-heavy tracks can sound less natural unless EQ is adjusted.
On Reddit, user comments suggest the Liberty 5 is viewed as good value, with one user review describing them as a solid choice despite a few drawbacks. A smaller set of impressions from blog-style reviews also echoes the same pattern: strong comfort, strong battery, good everyday sound, but not a huge leap over earlier Soundcore models.
