Editor's Take
Amazon-style marketplace listings and product pages suggest this Monster AC390 open-ear model is aimed at active use, with repeated emphasis on Bluetooth 6.0, 24H playtime, IPX5 resistance, and a rotating charging case. Review snippets across retail listings and forum discussions point to a mixed experience: some buyers like the lightweight fit, long battery life, and value for money, while others say the open-ear design does not isolate or project sound as well as expected and that audio quality is only average for the price.
On Reddit, users discussing Monster open-ear products raise skepticism about low prices and describe sound quality as underwhelming on some budget Monster clip-on styles. Walmart customer reviews for a closely related Monster open-ear model are similarly split, with positive comments praising comfort, portability, and battery life, and negative comments criticizing weak audio and questioning whether the design truly delivers open-ear listening. A tech review blog also notes that the AC390 offers a decent feature set but falls short of more expensive competitors in sound detail and advanced features.
YouTube search results include at least one real review video specifically about the Monster Open Ear AC390, indicating there is video coverage of this exact product. The available video snippet suggests the reviewer viewed it favorably overall, especially for situational awareness and battery life.
- Common praise: lightweight fit, outdoor-friendly design, long battery life, good value.
- Common complaints: only average sound quality, open-ear design not as immersive as expected, skepticism about marketing claims.
- Overall sentiment: budget-friendly and practical, but not a premium-sounding earbud.
