Editor's Take
The Signature Design by Ashley Next-Gen DuraPella Power Reclining Sofa in Sand combines power reclining with adjustable headrests, USB charging, and a center console with cupholders and storage. Amazon reviewers praise its cozy seating, supportive back comfort, attractive appearance, easy assembly, and practical charging feature. Several say the upholstery is easy to clean and offers the upscale look of leather without the maintenance.
Walmart reviewers describe the sofa as sturdy, stylish, and supportive, with a light sand color that fits comfortably into many living spaces. Owners also appreciate the reclining function, adjustable head support, and durable, pet-friendly upholstery. Some reviewers report that the cushions soften with use and that the sofa holds up well in busy households.
The main drawback is firmness. Amazon reviewers say the sofa can feel hard and has less cushioning than expected, while some Walmart reviewers likewise find it uncomfortable for extended lounging. Noise during reclining is another recurring complaint. Amazon reviewers also note that the headrest and footrest controls do not always operate independently, since the headrest can return when the footrest is lowered.
Overall, reviewers present the DuraPella sofa as a feature-rich choice for shoppers who value powered comfort, easy-care upholstery, and built-in convenience features more than plush cushioning. It earns the strongest praise for construction, appearance, support, and functionality, but shoppers who prefer a soft, quiet sofa should consider its firmness and reclining noise.
