Editor's Take
The Signature Design by Ashley Altari Queen Sofa Sleeper is a practical choice for shoppers who want everyday seating with an occasional guest bed. Amazon reviewers praise its soft slate-gray upholstery, attractive appearance, sturdy feel, and value, while Overstock reviewers describe the sofa as comfortable, easy to open and close, and suitable for apartments, rentals, and smaller homes.
The pullout includes a queen memory-foam mattress, which reviewers generally prefer to a traditional spring sleeper. Overstock reviewers report comfortable overnight stays and easy setup, and Pövison describes the sofa as stylish, solidly built, and straightforward to convert. The main trade-off is firmness: Amazon reviewers are divided, with some finding the sofa comfortable and others calling the cushions and sleeper mattress stiff. Pövison also recommends a mattress topper for longer sleeping periods.
Expect a substantial piece that can be difficult to move, and leave enough clearance in front for the bed mechanism. The textured chenille-style fabric gives the sofa a soft, inviting look, though Amazon reviewers report occasional shipping-related fabric damage, including rips and punctures. Overall, reviewers see the Altari as a good-value everyday couch with a useful queen sleeper for guests, rather than a replacement for a dedicated bed.
