Editor's Take
Amazon reviewers say the Shark R-AV2501S cleans well, handles dirt and pet hair effectively, and is easy to set up and use through the app. They also praise the self-emptying base, the strong filtration, and the way it keeps dust from blowing back into the air.
On Amazon, opinions are more mixed on value for money, with some shoppers calling it a great buy and others saying it is overpriced. Reddit users who own Shark AI Ultra robot vacuums describe solid performance with dog hair and dirt pickup, though they note it is not perfect on carpet. Walmart reviewers for the AV2501S give a smaller sample, with one customer calling it only average overall.
YouTube reviewers of the Shark AV2501S/AI Ultra line highlight strong suction, good cleaning performance, and helpful self-emptying convenience, while also pointing out compromises in battery life and app experience. RTINGS says the AV2501S does a better job with pet hair and features LiDAR mapping, but also notes demanding maintenance and higher recurring costs.
For shoppers who want a robot vacuum focused on pet hair, easy upkeep, and a self-emptying base, this model gets consistent praise for convenience and cleaning power.
