Editor's Take
Amazon-style customer feedback for this Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i Chromebook Plus points to strong everyday speed, a comfortable keyboard, and good value for the price. Review sites like IT Pro, Consumer Reports, Android Police, Reviewed, Tom's Guide, Laptop Mag, Thurrott, and About Chromebooks consistently describe it as a capable 14-inch 2-in-1 Chromebook with solid construction and a good touchscreen.
Common praise includes responsive performance for web browsing, school, writing, and general productivity, plus a versatile convertible design. Several sources also note that the keyboard and trackpad feel better than expected for the price.
Common complaints are the same across most reviews: battery life is only average, the display could be brighter or more colorful, and performance is good for ChromeOS but not class-leading. Some reviewers also mention the chassis can run warm and that this is still a Chromebook, so it is best for users who are comfortable with ChromeOS.
YouTube search results did surface real videos about this exact model, including reviews and unboxings. The videos found were a detailed review and a first-impressions/unboxing-style video.
- Overall sentiment: positive for value, portability, and day-to-day use.
- Main downsides: middling battery life, modest display quality, and some thermal limits.
