HP Elitebook 840 G8 Business Laptop, 14" 1920 x 1080 FHD Touch, Intel Core i5-1145G7 2.4GHz up to 4.2GHz, 16GB RAM, 256GB M.2 SSD, Windows 11 Pro (Renewed)

Amazon Renewed buyers for this HP EliteBook 840 G8 generally describe it as a strong value for office work, school, and everyday productivity, with praise for its fast 11th-gen Core i5 performance, 16GB RAM, and business-grade build quality. Reviewers on laptop review sites and YouTube say it feels quick in multitasking and handles Windows 11 Pro smoothly, while also noting that refurbished units can vary in battery wear and cosmetic condition.

On Amazon-style marketplace reviews, the most common positives are reliable performance, a premium keyboard, and good portability for a 14-inch business laptop. Common complaints center on the renewed/refurbished nature of the listing: some buyers report shorter battery life than expected, minor wear, or concerns about whether the SSD size is enough for heavier storage needs.

On Reddit and forums, discussion around the EliteBook 840 G8 trends positive for its durability, upgrade-friendly business design, and usefulness as a used corporate laptop. Users often frame it as a better buy than many consumer laptops at a similar price, especially if the buyer prioritizes a solid chassis, decent thermals, and everyday productivity over gaming or creator workloads.

Review blogs and laptop reviewers consistently describe the EliteBook 840 G8 as a well-made enterprise machine with strong keyboard quality, good display options, and dependable performance for office tasks. The main caution is that renewed listings depend on the seller’s refurbishing quality, so battery health, cosmetic condition, and included accessories matter a lot.

Overall: this model appears to be a sensible renewed business-laptop purchase if the goal is reliable productivity at a lower price, but it is less ideal for buyers who want guaranteed like-new battery life or lots of storage.
