Editor's Take
Amazon and Best Buy customer reviews for the ASUS Vivobook 17 F1704VA-AS34 are limited, but the available feedback is generally positive about everyday use, with buyers calling it easy to use, good value, and fast enough for routine tasks. Amazon-style retail feedback and Best Buy reviews mention the large 17.3-inch screen as a major plus, especially for comfort, browsing, schoolwork, and general productivity.
Consumer Reports and Notebookcheck describe the Vivobook 17 line as a sensible budget 17-inch laptop, but not a performance machine. Review coverage notes that it is adequate for email, web browsing, office work, and streaming, while heavier tasks are slower. Notebookcheck and Laptop Media also mention comfortable typing and a roomy screen, but flag compromises such as modest display quality on some configurations, average chassis rigidity, and limited graphics performance.
On Reddit and forum-style discussions, the common theme for this family of Vivobook 17 laptops is that it appeals to users who want a big screen at a low price rather than premium portability or top-end speed. People tend to praise the value proposition and simple everyday usability, while noting that battery life, brightness, and portability are not the strongest points.
YouTube reviews of the Vivobook 17 specifically are easy to find, and they generally echo the same verdict: good for basic productivity, media, and school use, with the main trade-off being middling performance and portability.
