Editor's Take
Amazon reviewers describe the ASUS Chromebook CX1 as a compact, budget-friendly Chromebook that handles schoolwork, web browsing, and streaming with ease. Reviewers on Amazon and YouTube say the 11.6-inch design is lightweight and easy to carry, while the Chrome OS interface keeps everyday use simple and fast for basic tasks.
On YouTube, reviewers consistently frame it as a value-first laptop: the ASUS Chromebook CX1 delivers solid battery life for the price, a practical keyboard for typing, and enough performance for Google Docs, email, and video playback. They also note that the Intel Celeron N4020 and 4GB RAM are best suited to light use rather than heavy multitasking.
Some Amazon and YouTube reviewers point out the trade-offs that come with the low price. The display and speakers are described as adequate rather than premium, and performance can feel slow when too many tabs or apps are open. Still, reviewers who wanted an inexpensive Chromebook for everyday basics generally say the CX1 offers good value for the money.
