Editor's Take
Amazon reviewers were not directly available in the search results, but the broader review coverage suggests the eufy SoloCam E42 is generally viewed as a strong-value 4K solar security camera with useful AI tracking and local storage. On Reddit, users discussing the product mention interest in the new camera and point to external reviews, indicating active real-world attention rather than just marketing noise.
Review blogs and hands-on tests say the camera’s biggest strengths are its sharp 4K image, solar-powered operation, pan-and-tilt tracking, and no-subscription local recording. Several reviewers also praise the deterrence features like the strobe light and motion alerts, and describe the overall build quality as solid.
Common complaints are that performance depends on HomeBase 3 range or Wi‑Fi conditions, and some users/reviewers note that setup and placement matter a lot for reliable connectivity. A few reviews also frame the E42 as good but not perfect, with one video review calling it decent overall rather than exceptional.
Overall sentiment across the available reviews is favorable: buyers seem to like the feature set and solar convenience, while the main cautions are network reliability, price, and making sure the home layout suits the camera system.
