Editor's Take
Editor's Take: The Allewie 14-inch Queen Size Metal Platform Bed Frame combines a vintage black-metal look with practical under-bed storage and a mattress-ready platform that does not require a box spring.
Amazon reviewers praise its sturdy construction, attractive appearance, quiet performance, and value. Many say the frame feels solid, stays stable, and does not squeak or bang during use. Reviewers also appreciate the clearly labeled parts and generally straightforward instructions, although one YouTube reviewer says assembly took about 90 minutes and involved many pieces. Some Amazon feedback identifies installing the support slats as the most challenging step.
Walmart reviewers similarly describe the frame as firm, easy to assemble, attractive, and durable, while highlighting the open space underneath for storing belongings. YouTube reviewers call it sturdy and affordable, and one demonstrates using it with a foam mattress without a box spring.
The main consideration is the frame's height. Amazon feedback notes that the bed can sit higher than expected, and some reviewers say a longer bed skirt is needed to conceal the space underneath. Overall, customer feedback presents this as a good-looking, quiet, budget-friendly metal frame for shoppers who want vintage styling, solid support, and useful storage clearance.
