Curly hair, whether it is done or natural, is pretty difficult to tame and to keep looking good all the time. To enjoy elegant curls and not worry about bad hair days, you need to learn the tricks on how to care for your curly hair.
Moisturize, Moisturize
If there is one thing you need to learn about curly hair, it is that it’s naturally dry. As such, it will always thirst for moisture – lots of it. You have to carefully choose your shampoo, making sure that it is sulphate free. Otherwise, you can drop the shampoo altogether and just use conditioner whenever you wet your curly hair. Clean it with water first before applying conditioner. After showering, apply a leave-on or any product that will help retain moisture within the strands so your curly hair falls naturally, nice and easy.
Combing Care
Curly hair will easily break if you use a brush or a narrow-toothed comb on it. Buy a wide toothed comb and use it for your curly hair. That will help avoid the frizz. It is also not advisable to rub your hair with a towel to dry it. Instead, blot it with a towel or for faster drying, use a blow dryer set on low. It is also important to keep in mind to brush or comb your hair as seldom as possible. Instead of brushing or combing, crunch your curls in between your fingers. You may get rid of tangles using your fingers as well.
