Any kind of abuse of fixtures and equipment used on the cricket ground or on the IPL clothing and equipment is completely disallowed. Besides this, kicking or hitting the wickets, damaging the doors of the dressing room, the boards used for advertising, the fences and boundaries, the windows, fittings, fixtures and mirrors etc in the dressing room are actions liable for punitive action.

The rules of a test match and a 20 overs match are more or less the same. Declaring a ball ‘wide‘ is something very specific to one day game and the T20 version. A ‘no ball’ – error from the bowler results in a free hit which is not seen in a test match. A free hit is where the batsman can hit the ball anyway and even if caught or bowled will not be declared out. There are no ‘power plays’ which are associated with 50 overs match. Another unique feature of this game is the ‘strategic time-out’ which happens two times in one innings and each lasts for 2 ½ minutes. Shah Rukh Khan the megastar of Bollywood has promised an opening ceremony like none other on Tuesday in Kolkata for the Indian Premier League at the Salt Lake Stadium. He stated that for India, this would be an experience that would be truly unprecedented. This ceremony would be one which the country has not seen in the past, Shah Rukh Khan says in an interview.
He said that he would be performing to some of his songs, besides which his co-stars, Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif would also be there. The audience would be thrilled to see the international rapper, Pitbull. The stadium including of a stage in mammoth size has been lavishly decorated for the opening ceremony. The audiences are guaranteed to be entertained with mass dancers, air tumbler, cheerleaders, stilt walkers, flying drummers, rhythm acrobats and gymnasts coming together.
