Lady Gaga launched New Perfume

Lady Gaga is known for always being full of surprises. She never stops at reinvented herself.  It’s not only her style that she plays around with but also her business ventures. She never stops short of coming up with new and innovative ideas. She has previously ventured out into the world of fashion. She launched a fashion line for children that have been very popular. The fashion line for the kids is called Gaga Goo Goo. It has designed out of the ordinary styles for kids.  Her venture into fashion has been with her sister, Natali Germanotta.  Natali Germanotta is a young fashion designer growing with each passing year.

Her recent venture has been the launch of a new perfume. There was a lot of speculation surrounding her latest venture. This idea had been in the running for almost two years now. It is after a long time that it will be reaching its fulfillment.  Initially it was rumored that the name of her perfume would be Monster. However, it has recently been revealed that in reality the name of the much awaited fragrance would be “Fame”. She let her fans know this detail through a social media website. The name is quite befitting if we take into account the success of the Queen of Music.  Now there is just a few more months of waiting that needs to be done. The perfume Fame is all set to be introduced into the market in September. Back in 2010 Lady Gaga had described the perfume in peculiar terms. She has said that it would carry the scent of blood and semen. However, now she has denied that and has revealed the true smell of the perfume. It will consist of the scent of many natural ingredients combined. These include honey drops, saffron, apricot and Tiger Orchidia. The description given by Lady Gaga in a tweet has sure left all of us intrigued. The Perfume would resemble a thick black liquid. But once sprayed it will become invisible. In this sense it will parallel the style of Lady Gaga, which like the perfume is out of the ordinary, Lady Gaga has said that Fame will be like “a beautiful prospect with a dark heart”.  The bottle has been designed by Nick Knight. Nick Knight had been the director of Gaga’s “Born this Way” music video. The advertisement for Fame has been directed by another man who has also previously worked closely with Gaga, Steven Klein. Steven Klein was the man behind the “Alejandro” music video.

Hang the budget Dior watch

Hang the budget Dior watch

Fuse function and fantasy with this dream on Dior watch. Guaranteed to get your second hand ticking, as it were, wear it to remind yourself that a watch is not just a watch and that time really is money. But whilst we are on watch related clichés what better way could there possibly be to experience time on your hands? And money leaving your pocket.

You could gaze at it and stroke it a bit and generally love it up all day and still not get tired of it. Like men do with watches and we would more usually, under normal circumstances, do with Victoria Beckham dresses or a mulberry handbag.  Until now.

Actually I have never spent anything over £50 on a watch. I am more of a shoes girl, but this watch ( which to anyone not otherwise watch minded is clearly not a watch at all in the sense of a watch, more a piece of to die for, investment seducing sex inspiring jewellery in disguise)  could change all that forever.

It is possibly the most beautiful thing made by man that I have ever seen in my life.  Encrusted with  diamonds and red sapphire crystal inserts you can practically justify the expense on the basis that you will mourn for ever if you don't have it.  And if you do have it you will wear it forever instead. Always a pre-requisite for an investment purchase which is the only way this eye wateringly expensive watch can be described.

Hunter boots - how to achieve that elusive glamour girl look whilst splashing through puddles

A fusion of style and sensibility these are the rubber equivalents of Jimmy Choos.  No country fashionista's wardrobe is complete without a pair and with festival season coming up fast your very own Hunters are a must-have too.

Achingly cool in an unlikely kind of a way for footwear made out of moulded rubber, who can forget Kate Moss working hers with a pair of cut offs and glamorously mud splattered legs at Glastonbury, causing an unprecedented rush on countrywear retailers across the UK? Because as with the best style setters, where Kate goes the rest of us follow, keeping our fingers and toes crossed that we too can step out looking like goddesses in the combination of practically no clothes and a pair of wellington boots.

And it is not only us non celbs who try to emulate the fashion forward Miss Moss. The list of Hunter crazy females reads like a Who's Who of Hello, with the uber fab Lily Allen and groove chick Pixie Lott amongst them. Everybody loves Hunters.

But fashion aside for a quick moment with mother, as a bit of a country puss myself I can lay testament to their enduring comfort and fit. Unsurpassed in the world of wellies, Hunters have this gloriously soft spongy interior, fitting your feet like a sensuously padded glove. And they go on for years and years. Durable as, um, tyres.

So which do we love best? I particularly adore the black argyle with its red top edging.  Imagine how gorgeous these would look rocking at V teamed with a pair of hotpants and in my case a bit of airbrushing. Or for a deeply country girl kind of a look you could go for the originals in green, edged up with some black coated skinny jeans for maximum sex appeal. Alternatively I am loving the fuschia pink version for a hit of this season's candy coloured cool.

Choosing the Perfect Swimsuit for Summer in 2015

Summer 2015 is promising to be one of the hottest, so its time to put on your favourite swimsuit and head to the nearest pool or beach. Don’t have a favourite swimsuit, not sure which one to choose, well I am here to help. It’s as easy as two steps to have you looking your best poolside.

First and most important when choosing the perfect swimsuit is cut. The basic types are the one piece, the tankini, the bikini and the monokini. Don’t be scared that most of those rhyme with "teeny". There are a variety of swimsuits that will suit your body type and shape.

Have a few "trouble areas" or sections you'd rather cover up? Don’t only focus on hiding imperfections; highlighting your assets is just as important in choosing the right swimwear.

For gals who want to minimize the tummy, choose a one piece with ruching around that area. A ruched swimsuit with a push up bra will hide your tummy, and draw attention to your girls. If you want a little more coverage down below, pick a swimsuit with a skirted bottom. Choose a cute tankini with a skirt, or a one piece with a skirt. Go ahead, loose the wrap and step out in confidence.

If you have no trouble zones and just want to show some skin, bikinis now are sexier than ever, low cut hipsters and side tie bottoms are all cute. Monokinis will give you that sexy backless effect, so dare to bare...a little bit more.

Choosing the perfect swimsuit is not all about cut. Colour is just as important. Use my tips and tricks to pick the best cut, and then have fun with colour. Mix and match colours, try a turquoise bandeau top, with a hot pink bottom for your next bikini. Tribal and ethnic prints make any monokini pop. And forget that "black is slimming" for all your swimsuits. Pick your favourite colour and pattern, red, bright yellow, or polka dot.

Maybe better to go for a 14 inch laptop as the best size ?

[Please note this is an old blog post now and laptops and technology have moved on so please treat any information as old]

From my recent blog on the best 15 inch laptops out there I was talking with a colleague Henrick and he raised the question as to why I was looking at 15 inches. In Asia 14 inch and sometimes 13 inch are more popular - they love stuff small and cute in Japan for example. But here the 15 inch has dominated main stream laptop sales and for me this has also been the size laptop I have looked at in the past.

HP Envy Spectre 14 xt

Thanks to CNET for the image

I did have a serious consideration 4 years ago on the subject but the 15 inch won out.  This is the laptop I have now the dell 1530 XPS which is due for replacement as the screen is having freezing issues depending on the opening and closing movement (hinge) a slight adjustment gets rid of the green slime and all is well. Its also running the rubbish Vista. It will last me out until windows 8 perhaps later this year and the arrival of the Ivy Bridge 3rd gen Intel processors which should be much better for battery consumption. At the time I went for the 15 inch version and didn't regret it. I have perhaps watched 50 movies in 4 years and could be argued that a 14 inch might have been ok to do this as well. The display is a very important consideration for me. In todays market so long as I can connect to a big flat screen then working on a 14 inch laptop (usually sharing the same keyboard) should offer advantages giving up few of the disadvanages. Im actually tapping this out using a Samsung notepad an 11 inch N120 and it is fun for a short time to work on this. I think I would be fine full time with a 14inch machine, some 13 inch machines cram 14 inch worth of resolution into them but I would not go this low.

So thanks Henrick for muddying the water and giving me a whole new bunch of machines to compare ! I am finding myself looking at the smaller siblings of the same machines found in my 15 inch laptop reviews. Namely Dells XPS 14z, the HP Envy 14 and the Samsung Series 5, 7 and 9's.

The display becomes more critical for me so for these what are the resolutions for these ?
