This week I'll be taking a look at the much publicised Zero Dark Thirty a film chronicling the decade long hunt for Osama bin Laden by Hurt Locker director, Kathryn Bigelow.  It looks like it's being either loved or loathed in the press, but I've made sure I haven't read the reviews in any detail as I'd like to go in with a clear head.  My full report coming soon.

But tonight, I'm taking a step away from film and video and heading out into the wind and rain of Essex to see punk-pop band The Get playing live in Southend.  They're apparently causing a stir with their offbeat lyrics and bonkers stage performance... Yeah, I'm curious too, so will let reveal all in my band report to be posted soon on SR.

At first glance this just appears to look like any other digital watch. However upon closer inspection we realise that this could be the best swimming product since the invention of goggles. Garmin have designed this fabulous little swimming aid that can really help to improve your technique and assist your concentration whilst in the water. Garmin swim is a swimming tool that counts the laps you do whilst you concentrate on your strokes and speed. The little accessory has a sleek design which cuts through the water so it won’t slow you down, and you can replace the battery yourself around once a year as per the manufacturer.

Garmin Swim has an easy to use basic interface so anyone can use it. Once on your wrist you simply input the size of the swimming pool your about to use and it automatically calculates the amount of lengths you swim. Also with Garmin swim you can input swimming drills and find out how fast you pace yourself through the water. Another great feature is that Garmin Swim is also a watch and an alarm can be set, and to help you stay motivated it displays your weekly accumulated distance under time of day.

Road bikes are those bicycles that are suitable for paved streets. They are aimed at increasing speeds, and should be your choice only if you are a pro. Here are some important factors that you should consider before buying a road bike.

Frame

A road bike is available in a wide variety of frames. Different manufacturers use different materials to make the bike, and the performance highly depends on this. The most used of these materials are aluminium, steel, carbon fibre and titanium. Some bikes are also made out of those materials that are an alloy of these to improve the quality.

An aluminium frame is the most durable of these and is marked by the highest speeds. The downside is that aluminium is stiff and so the ride may not be comfortable enough. A steel frame makes a bike heavy, but the ride is not bumpy. A carbon fibre frame is the lightest of all materials and so handling the bike becomes easy, but then the price also goes up. A titanium frame is the most expensive because of its durability, resistance to corrosion and smooth rides.

As we live in a world where technology and creativity continues to expand and grow, nothing is deemed impossible anymore. From solar energy to electric cars, we've seen an incredible increase in technology over the past century. The world is filled with a tonne of contemporary designs that we never thought would be possible. From the latest iPhone to a HD 3D television, the 21^st century is also overloaded with materialistic things we just have to have.

Over the past few years, watches have become more of a materialistic object rather than a practical piece, with many people buying them as an accessory to add to their outfit. With many designers creating their own timepiece collections such as mens Diesel watches, buying a watch is not just about telling the time, it is also about fashion.

Take this ZIIIRO watch for example. It offers a much bespoke display with an appealing colour that is created using two transparent coloured discs. This wristwatch blends together the hours and minutes to provide a unique reading. Granted, it will take a bit of time to get use to it but nevertheless, the watch looks extremely cool and is worth the confusion.

So Taylor Swift and Harry from the group One Direction are dating! Okay, stop the presses, news just in, the two have broken up. Wow, that was fast. How long was it a week, two days, a few minutes? It’s hard to keep up with Taylor who very well lives up to her last name. Swift is a mild way to describe how fast Taylor moves from one boyfriend to another. One has to wonder if she dates for love, or just on a whim of "Oh, Hes cute!

The list of Ms. Swift’s boyfriends goes on and on. From her name sake Twilight hottie Taylor to a Jonas brother, to most recently Harry Styles. Ms Swift has admitted to getting inspiration from her love life. She has wrote many songs about her love and loss and her many ex boyfriends have been the central theme in her lyrics. The latest of which is her hit song with the line "we are never ever ever getting back together", said to be for her last boyfriend and felow serial dater John Mayer.

One can’t really tell if Taylor goes into these relationships for the right or wrong reasons. On one hand she could be a love sick puppy who wears her heart on her sleeve. While on the other, she could be a modern day man eater who draws them in for the kill. Okay, so she’s not killing them. But, she is making alot of money from these hit records, and making a killing...money wise.

Even a certain rappers daughter allegedly "attacked" Taylor swift on twitter begging her to stop dating so many men just to make another album...to put it mildly.

Well the newest beau Harry is now yesterday’s news. Let’s wait and see how long it takes for him to become a victim of another Taylor Swift song.

Recently young Romeo Beckham was featured in the most current Burberry campaign out shinning Burberrys regular models and fitting right in like a true model. The 10 year old Beckham has taken a lot of buzz from the media. But this little guy isn't the first child celebrity to be featured in a campaign to promote Children's Designer Fashion. Here are some other child start who have taken the fashion world by storm.

Just last year, Cindy Crawford's daughter, 10 year old Kia modelled the new Young Versace Spring 2012 collection and looked adorable and very grown up at the same time. Just like her mother, Kia has the gift, and already shows potential to rise to the same heights as her famous mum.

Three Year old, Curtis "C.J" Conway is the grandson of famous boxer Muhammad Ali and starred next to his famous granddad in a Louis Vuitton ad campaign in 2012.

 Actor and politician, Arnold Schwarzenegger's 17 year old son, Patrick Schwarzenegger is the new face of Hudson Jean's latest ad campaign. The young model appears in magazines and huge billboards, mostly around L.A., in Hudson's fall-winter 2011-'12 collection. Patrick, in addition to his fast-rising modelling career, is also dabbling in clothing designs with his Project 360 label.
