At first I was very disappointed with the display and was considering shipping it back ! The setup takes some time but persevere and you will be rewarded with a great monitor / screen with some annoyances that I am getting over.
There are some quick selections of color modes available to you that seem to alter your base setting. I have taken a few goes and done the calibration to get the colours and contrast right. I think you need to persevere with it. Only thing I have been unable to improve upon is the text rendering which I show in one of the images (ignore the dark photo as it is hard to get a good shot under this lighting).
