Samsung HT-C6500 Blu-Ray 5.1 ch Home Theatre System with Wi Fi

You can't fault the HT-c6500 so long as you don't pay top price ! shop around and you might get it for 250 quid. As a blue ray player it works real well, there is no wifi for speakers but it does wifi in data, like pictures or videos from your pc and this works well too. The sound is great and very configurable which you will probably want to do for your setting, there is a small microphone which automates this process. You will need a separate scart cable to the tv if you don't want to have it switched on all the time via hdmi as this wont pass the audio signal through unless it is turned on.

The apps work well its a samsung are with 3rd party apps like iplayer and youtube. It can be fun now and again to watch you tube on the tv. I did try the yoga app but found the instructions not going along with the diagram, can't blame samsung for that.

Annoying small quirks like having to open the cd tray to push through a signal to the tv so that it shows spoil an otherwise best of class system.

Blue Ray Disc player Surround Sound and TV apps player.

A great value system that will look good in any home. More importantly the sound quality is excellent to our untrained ears. The having to operate the draw to activate the screen is most annoying and one of the few issues and this could be due to the screen not being as modern. Watching youtube on tv is great an the apps available can be fun to use like the yoga.

It sounds great playing xbox or blue ray discs !

Good Points

Wifi (Only meaning the device connection not wifi rear speakers though it can through separate purchase of the Wifi unit)
Very Stylish
Great Price
Great Sound
You Tube on TV
iplayer on TV
Plays iphone music

Bad Points
Really annoying that you have to operate the dvd draw to get it to turn the screen on or press the menu button - otherwise it seems to sit in a state of detection with no screen action !
Does not show Iphone photos, clunky interface in the interactive tv.
You cannot have native TV sound if the unit is switched off if your satellite input goes through the Samsung box, a separate input could solve this.
