"Purists" may cringe at the thought of Mercedes' gull-wing monster being neutered, with an electric motor in place of a snarling V8, but those same gas-addicts have likely never experienced the organ-pulverizing acceleration of a good electric car. While not slated to arrive on the market for a while, the SLS E-Cell has already garnered rave reviews, and the banana-popsicle yellow hue of the show car turns up the ostentation level to 11.
